Finished Mural Project

Are You My Home?

These are prints that I've done in printmaking class, and they talk about homesickness.
It's a triptych and I know it's hard to read the text so here are the texts:
"Searching for a place of my own
Collecting more as I go along
The weight of it all floating above my head"

The Making of: The Three Drawer Chest Box

So I'm making this for the Holiday Bazaar and I have made five boxes so far...it's taking long but I think I can make it till due. I bought some architectural chip board((it's $2.29 pretty cheap)) and out of one board I found out that I could make six boxes. Well, my next step would be figuring out what paper to use for decoration.
And I'm looking for some little knob for each of the drawers...hopefully I can figure these all out soon!

Masking tape and spray mount are my best friend

Give Back Program: Mural Painting at Poplar Point

My friend Vicki and I are collaborating for this mural at a retirement house called Poplar Point. We were asked to do a landscape painting from the lady who works at Poplar Point (I would like to add that she is very very sweet) and right now we are working on the entrance. Since we're using acrylic, we can work pretty fast and easy. I believe this is my second week and surprised that we are almost finished! I am very excited since this is my first time doing murals :) Doing murals are very fun, especially because there are people watching you paint. A little kid walked in with his parent and saw me painting then he goes, "Ohh~Look! She's an ARTIST!" and also goes,"Dat is soooo lovely!" hahaha It was the happiest moment of my life.

Work is still in progress! I will post the finished work on here soon :)
